Vacant Car Garage: What Happens When Someone Gets Inside

We were called to a vacant car garage in Seven Sisters, North London after the owners became aware of videos circulating online. The footage showed individuals moving freely through the property.

Inside the garage was a brand new Volvo - still there, but completely exposed.

Vacant commercial properties aren’t always empty. Garages, warehouses and industrial units often still contain vehicles, equipment, tools or stock.

That changes the nature of the risk.

We were brought in to support enforcement and secure the property. The site was cleared, secured, and brought back under control quickly, with a revised security approach put in place to prevent repeat access.

If you’re responsible for vacant property security in London or across a wider portfolio, it’s worth considering how your sites would stand up to a simple access test. Because most issues don’t start with major incidents. They start with someone getting in - and no one stopping them.
