Ambika Security Ltd ("Ambika", "we", "us") provides vacant property security services across the UK. We take the protection of information seriously — it is, after all, what we do. This policy explains what personal data we collect through this website, why we collect it, and the rights you have over it.

Ambika Security Ltd is the data controller for personal data collected through this website. We are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) under registration number ZA302880.

When you enquire about our services.

  • If you request a security assessment, ask for a quote, or contact us through this website, we collect the details you provide: your name, company name, email address, telephone number, the property or portfolio you are enquiring about, and any other information you choose to include in your message.

When you apply to become a property guardian.

  • If you apply through our Join Us page, we collect your name, contact details, and the information you provide in support of your application. Because our guardians are selected as security personnel, applications are subject to vetting. Further information collected during the vetting process — such as references, background checks, and right-to-rent documentation — is covered by the privacy information we provide directly to applicants at that stage.

When you subscribe to updates.

  • If you provide your email address through a sign-up form on this site, we collect that address in order to send you the updates you have asked for. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email we send, or by contacting us directly.

When you browse this site.

  • Like most websites, we collect limited technical data automatically: IP address, browser type, device information, and pages visited. This site is built on the Wix platform, which places cookies necessary for the site to function and, with your consent, cookies used for analytics. You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings or the cookie controls on this site.

  • We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under the age of 18 through this website.

Who we share information with:

We share personal data only where necessary to run our business: with Wix.com Ltd, which hosts this website and processes form submissions on our behalf; with professional advisers and IT service providers who support our operations under contract; and with regulators, law enforcement, or other authorities where the law requires it.

Wix operates globally, which means data submitted through this website may be processed outside the UK. Guardian application data is retained for the duration of the application process; unsuccessful application data is retained for no longer than twelve months unless you ask us to keep it on file. Email subscription data is kept until you unsubscribe. Technical and analytics data is retained in line with the cookie durations set by the platform.

Your rights:

You have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you; have inaccurate data corrected; have your data erased in certain circumstances; restrict or object to our processing of it; receive your data in a portable format; and withdraw consent at any time where consent is our lawful basis.
